Since 2012, the Alucro Association has the licence of the European program Every Can Counts, which is currently running in 15 countries.
Every Can Counts was first released in the UK in 2009. In 2010, the model developed in the United Kingdom was replicated in France (Chaque Canette Compte) and in Austria (Jede Dose Zaehlt). The program has successfully become the umbrella of promoting aluminium can recycling through programs developed in Romania, Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro, Ireland, Scotland, Montenegro, Greece, Spain, the Czech Republic, Ireland, Scotland.
In Romania, Every Can Counts helps people recycle aluminium cans they consume no matter where they are – at work, at school / college or at public events.
The main objective is to collect aluminium cans for recycling. We support collection for recycling at the workplace, in educational establishments, at public events, music festivals, gas stations, etc. We want to support any entity that wants to determine its staff, customers or visitors to recycle aluminium cans wherever they are.
Experience has shown us an obvious fact: only through an efficient and officially recognized network we can improve the recycling rate imposed by European legislation.
Improving the “eco-behaviour” of a citizen can only be achieved by providing a solid infrastructure and adhering to the promise that all recyclable materials will be recycled, and that the quantities will be found in the official figures declared.
